I Went on TV to Talk About Deepfakes—Here’s What You Really Need to Know

This past Tuesday I went live on Fox to talk about something that sounds like science fiction but is already reshaping our reality—deepfakes.

You can watch the full segment here (and yes, I wore a blazer).

We covered a lot in just a few minutes, but the core message was this: We are entering an era where seeing is no longer believing.

Deepfakes have come a long way from funny internet memes. They can now replicate human speech, expressions, and behaviors with stunning precision. And while the tech is impressive, it’s also terrifying when you consider the consequences.

Here’s the part that didn’t make it to air—but needs to be said:

  • Small businesses are at risk. Imagine a scammer creating a deepfake video of your CEO asking the finance team to wire money. It's already happened.

  • Elections? Don't even get me started. Deepfakes could erode trust in every single video we see between now and November.

  • Reputation? One well-timed fake video can destroy it overnight.

But here’s what gives me hope: education, awareness, and ethical AI.

That’s why I do these segments. That’s why I write. And that’s why I started my Youtube Channel —to help regular people, not just techies, understand this stuff before it steamrolls their industry.

So here’s my ask:
If you're curious, confused, or even a little freaked out about where AI is going, subscribe to my youtube channel. I break it down every week—no jargon, no doomscrolling. Just tools, insights, and clarity.

Or don’t. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
